Species Considerations
Equine calculations should be interpreted in light of substantial variation between breeds, body sizes, ages and intended uses. Ponies, miniature horses, light breeds, warmbloods and heavy draft breeds may differ considerably in anatomy, body composition and normal physiological measurements.
