- Estimated Dehydration: Enter 0 if no dehydration deficit is being replaced.
- Deficit Replacement Period: Select the period over which the estimated deficit will be replaced.
- Ongoing Abnormal Losses: Enter measured or estimated ongoing losses over 24 hours; enter 0 if none.

Species Considerations
Small-animal calculations must be interpreted according to species, breed, age, body size and physiological status. Dogs and cats should not automatically be treated as interchangeable populations, and substantial variation can also exist between breeds.
Paediatric, geriatric, pregnant, lactating, obese, underweight and critically ill patients may require additional adjustment or a different calculation method. Body composition and hydration status can materially influence measurements that depend on body weight or laboratory values.
